Shipping
We use USPS ground shipping in order to lower our carbon footprint. We sometimes reuse boxes (from our neighbors, friends, and local businesses) that are in good condition to help keep them out of landfills. So if you receive a package with another company’s logo, it may be from us! Plus it lowers our cost, which we gladly pass on to you.
Return Policy
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return unused products within 30 days for a full refund (minus the cost of shipping). Prior to sending your return, please e-mail us at returns@greenovations-online.com for return shipping instructions. Be sure to include your name, order number, item(s) you’re returning, return reason, and your daytime phone number. You will receive a reply from us within 24 hours.
Why do CFLs contain mercury? Isn’t mercury bad for me…and the planet?
One thing most retailers fail to mention is that all CFLs contain trace amounts of mercury (about 5 mg). This is most likely because they don’t want to scare off consumers. However, we believe it’s important for you to know, and will tell you why it shouldn’t scare you. The amount of mercury in one CFL is 1/100 of that found in a child’s fever thermometer. If one should happen to break, you should follow cleanup instructions provided on the EPA website, www.epa.gov/mercury/spills.
How do I dispose of spent CFLs?
Because CFLs contain small amounts of mercury, it is highly recommended that you recycle your old bulbs. An expanding number of local retailers are providing free CFL recycling, including The Home Depot, ACE Hardware, IKEA, and Menards (Minnesota). If you are not located near one of these retailers, check out the following links to learn about recycling opportunities near you.

What is a plantable card?
A plantable card is made from special handmade paper embedded with wildflowers seeds. When the paper is planted in a pot of soil and watered properly, wildflowers will grow from the paper.
How do I plant and care for my seeded card?
Place the seeded paper on top a pot of soil or small patch of garden. Spread a thin layer of soil over the paper. Water well and place in a sunny spot. Keep moist during germination.
